40 grams of meth seized during traffic stop, three arrested - WBTV
Three people were arrested after 40 grams of methamphetamine were seized during a traffic stop, according to Caldwell County deputies. The Caldwell County Sheriff's Office says John Randall Mabe, 41, Regina Diane Cannon, 46, and Trevor Trent Burns, 21, were pulled over on Highway 321, south of Granite Falls, and taken into custody around 3:30 a. m. Thursday morning. According to agents, Mabe was traveling out of state to get large amounts of meth while Cannon and Burnes were allegedly helping him sell it in Caldwell County. Because of the traffic stop, the sheriff's office says 40 grams of meth was confiscated, worth a street value of $6,000, according to the North Carolina State Drug Guidelines. A 1997 Mazda 626 was also seized. Sheriff Alan C. Jones expects there to be more arrests and charges in the near future with their conspirators. Source: www.wbtv.com
