Lincoln Continental Assembly Confirmed for Flat Rock, Michigan Plant - Automobile

While the current MKS is assembled in Ford's Chicago plant, the Continental moves closer to home in Michigan. The Flat Rock plant has been home to various Ford vehicles, including the Ford Mustang (since 2005), and the current Ford Fusion. While Mazda was still partnered with Ford, models such as the Mazda6, Ford Probe, Mazda MX-6, and Mazda 626 have also rolled off the Flat Rock assembly line. The Continental concept aims to instigate a brand-wide change, with a distinct new design language and a segment shift aimed at bringing Lincoln closer to luxury brands like Cadillac and Audi.
