1 dead, 5 injured after head-on crash in Boyds - W*USA 9

BOYDS, Md. (WUSA9) -- A woman is dead and five others are injured after a head-on crash in Boyds, Md. Tuesday evening, a spokesperson for Montgomery County fire said. According to Montgomery County Police, a silver, 2003 Chevy S10 Trailblazer with three occupants was traveling inbound on Darnestown Rd around 7:00 p. m. At the same time, a silver, 2008 Honda Accord was driving outbound on Darnestown Road. For some reason, the Trailblazer crossed the center line as it entered a curve in the road near Whites Ferry Rd. and struck the Accord head-on. Police say Torray James Jr. the 26-year-old driver of the Trailblazer was not ejected, and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Police say Janet Yeboah, 47 years old of Germantown, was behind the wheel of the Honda. Her front seat passenger was Sylvester Yeboah, 31 years old and also of Germantown. The rear seat passenger of the Accord was 18-year-old Drew Brown. Montgomery County Police say alcohol may be a contributing factor in the fatal crash. The intersection of Darnestown and White's Ferry Rd. was closed while police investigated the accident, and later repoened around 3:30 a. m. MORE STORIES:.
