Here’s one more indicator of just how much success Mercedes-Benz is enjoying in 2015: in July, the German automaker has just passed the 1-million mark for cars sold so far this year. To be more specific, Mercedes-Benz has sold 1,048,178 vehicles as of the end of July 2015. That number plus smart car sales adds up to 1,119,629 units. “Never before have we delivered so many cars to customers in the first seven months of a year,” stated Mercedes-Benz Cars marketing and sales chief Ola Källenius. It just goes to show that the decision to focus on compact cars with the quality, technology, engineering, and performance of Mercedes-Benz cars is paying off. In July, the total number of units sold in the month is 149,753, which is a 15. 3 percent increase compared to July 2014. The automaker also set new records for July sales as well as sales over the first seven months of a year. The combined totals for A-Class, B-Class, CLA, CLA Shooting Brake, and GLA cars were up 33 percent in terms of monthly figures, and the CLA even set new records for July and year-to-date numbers. C-Class numbers shot up 83. 1 percent in July 2015, with a record 36,287 units sold.
