Next-Generation Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class Rendered with AMG GT Details - autoevolution
The current Mercedes CLS is a car with quite a few flaws, especially if you go for one of the 4-cylinder entry-level models. However, this is the four-door coupe that began a revolution, so Mercedes can't ignore it. A mid-life refresh for the CLS was launched last year at pretty much the same time as the one for the Audi A7 Sportback. He believes the four-door coupe will receive an "upside down" grille that will also be featured on the AMG GT3 race car and upcoming SL facelift. Around the back, the rendering shows a hint of S-Class Coupe and a dash of AMG GT. Overall, the boot will be one of the trickiest pieces of design to get right because both the Porsche Panamera and Audi A7 are going to change. This four-door coupe has always been prized for the hooligan nature of its V8 AMG engines. But Mercedes may be forced to downsize from 5. 5-liter to 4-liter. It's not all bad news though, as the first inline-6 turbos will be ready by 2018. One of them will be a 2. 9-liter diesel that will be available in performance flavors with a multi-turbo setup.
