WASHINGTON — Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling 147,224 cars, including the 2013-'15 Mercedes-Benz E350 sedan because of a fire risk, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( NHTSA ). A stop-sale order on the 2013-'15 E-Class and CLS-Class has been issued to Mercedes-Benz dealers. "The affected vehicles have a rubber seal at the back of the engine bay that may temporarily stick to the hood when it is opened and then may fall into the engine bay when the hood is closed," said NHTSA in its summary of the problem. Mercedes-Benz said customers may continue to drive their vehicles until the repair has been performed.
