The guys from The Fast Lane Car have an interesting segment amongst their videos, called Modern Collectibles Exposed, in which they separate the one time wonders from the true collectibles of our times. Their latest episode featured a car not many would expect: the 2008 MINI Cooper S Convertible. First of all, the 2008 MINI Cooper S is supercharged, instead of turbocharged. 6-liter engine has 116 HP and 162 lb-ft (220 Nm) of torque and, most importantly, it's hooked up to a manual 6-speed gearbox, just like God intended it to be. Another plus is the way the MINI drives. It still has that go-kart feeling everyone's talking about and you'll just love driving it. Even though it's not as powerful as a supercar, the fun you get inside a MINI is unique. The thing is that in the future, when you'll be looking to buy such a collectible car, you're not looking for practicality. Looking at the MINI, it's hard to find something more fun than a Convertible, with a manual gearbox and supercharged engine.
