This will also help with the fuel economy which just isn't low enough at 33mpg highway on the 4-door S. I mean, that's barely lower than a 528i. And the stick gets exactly the same combined as a 528i. BMW MINI can go lower. Looks like a wagon, which I think is cool. Styling looks cohesive and attractive, but I just don't get the barn doors on the rear. A nice hatch like the mini 5 door would have made a whole lot more sense. This thing costs as much as 2 series, 3 series and the X1. So, at that price point, the "cool" factor is really wearing off. I like it much better that the 5 door, as it simply looks more proportional, but it's just not really that much more practical, and definitely not as practical as the 3 series wagon for example.
