Mum wins new Mitsubishi Mirage in competition that raises £85000 for charity - FleetPoint

A lucky mum-of-two has won a new Mitsubishi Mirage in a raffle that raised more than £85,000 for charity. Collecting the prize from her local Mitsubishi dealership, Grosvenor Garage Mitsubishi in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Sandra said: ‘I bought the ticket and then the next thing I knew they phoned me to say I had won the car. Sense, which has 90 shops across the UK, sold more than 69,000 tickets for the Mitsubishi Mirage, which combines great styling, excellent fuel economy and real-life practicality. A number of people donated more than the price of the raffle ticket, taking the total to more than £85,000. There are currently around 250,000 deafblind people in the UK. Sense provides specialist information, advice and services to deafblind... The charity was founded by families of deafblind children in 1955 and the Mitsubishi Mirage was the prize for Sense’s 60 Birthday Raffle. Kris Murali, Group Director of Finance & Resources at Sense, said: ‘Many thanks to Mitsubishi Motors UK for their generous support and congratulations to Sandra, the lucky winner. The money raised for Sense from the raffle will help us support people with sight and hearing impairments live active and full lives and enjoy some of the things most people take for granted.
