- Troopers arrested the 17-year-old drivers suspected of speed racing before one of their cars hit and killed a man in front of his home Tuesday, Oregon State Police said. Jonathon Roman Delgado and David Gomezpena, also known as David Pena Gomez, face charges of First Degree Manslaughter, Reckless Driving and Recklessly Endangering. Witnesses told police a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro and a 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT were speed racing on Mathews Road when they lost control. The Camaro hit and killed 45-year-old Roland Villett, police said. After striking Villet, the Camaro hit a tree, police said. Residents of Mathews Road said speeding cars are a problem on their road - and that at least one of the cars involved in Tuesday's deadly incident looked familiar from past incidents of alleged speed racing.
