The two drivers are the only foreign crews among the 38 entries set to compete for honours in the Pearl of Africa Uganda Rally (POUR), which flags off with a closed sprint stage on private property in Matugga this afternoon. On three occasions, Chatthe, who drives a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, has beaten Singh to the podium. The Kenyan won South Africa, Zambia and Rwanda rallies in which driver Singh finished runner-up. Chatthe's compatriot Rajbir Rai won the rally last year but will not be defending it. 2012 champion Mohammed Essa is the only Zambian to have won the Pearl Rally. For local drivers, the rally is as important since it scores a maximum of 140 bonus points toward the national rally championship (NRC) for the best performer. Source: allafrica.com
