Marina woman pleads guilty to vehicle theft crime spree - The Salinas Californian

A Marina woman pleaded guilty today to seven counts of vehicle theft related to a crime spree last year, the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office said. On June 18 and June 22, 2014, Jennifer Lorentz, 22, went on a spree throughout Monterey County, stealing vehicles and contents of vehicle, prosecutors said. On the first day of the spree, Lorentz drove a stolen 2013 Chevrolet Traverse to Pajaro where she then tried to steal a Nissan Sentra but got stuck in the mud. Lorentz continued stealing cars in Pacific Grove with one car after another being abandoned along the way. She was sitting in a car on the side of the road in Pajaro when a Monterey County Sheriff’s deputy stopped to assist her and realized the car was stolen. Source: www.thecalifornian.com
