A driver was seriously injured when the car the person was driving collided with a UPS truck on Interstate I-91 south in Wethersfield early Saturday morning. According to state police, the crash happened around 3:23 a. m. just past exit 26. A 2008 Nissan Maxima drifted or began to change lanes into the center lane from the left lane, hitting the back left tires of a UPS truck. The collision sent the car airborn, launching it into the left side of the UPS truck. The car flipped over several times, throwing the driver, Kevin Russell, 39, of Hartford, from the vehicle before the vehicle landed. The driver of the UPS truck wasn't injured.
