GRANGER – A two-car accident early yesterday morning on I-82 – about a mile west of Granger – resulted in a Zillah man being hospitalized. According to WSP officials, both Myra A. Mendoza, 28, of Sunnyside and Timothy B. Hede, 69, of Zillah were westbound on I-82 yesterday at about 5 a. m. Mendoza was driving a 2007 Lexus, Hede was behind the wheel of a 1994 Nissan Sentra. State troopers report the Sunnyside woman’s sedan crossed the center line and struck the Nissan Sentra. The impact caused the Zillah man’s car to careen off the freeway, and roll. Mendoza’s four-door Lexus, as a result of the collision, crossed into the eastbound lanes of I-82 before coming to rest on the eastbound shoulder of the roadway. WSP officials said the Sunnyside woman escaped injury. Comments Comments are subject to moderator review and may not appear immediately on the site.
