Capital murder warrant issued in connection with Lewisville murder - Star Local Media

On Wednesday detectives with the Lewisville Police Department obtained a capital murder warrant for the arrest of 19-year-old Lewisville resident Cariea Lashae McCord in connection with the death of Jarrod Dewayne Black. Police said McCord’s whereabouts are unknown, and they said she may be in hiding. Police responded to a call for “shots heard” that was later upgraded to “person shot” at 12:04 p. m. July 23 in the 100 block of Forest Brook Drive. Police found 19-year-old Black deceased inside of a 2004 green Nissan Altima. “McCord was with the victim the day of the murder, and we believe she was sitting next to him in the vehicle,” said Capt. Police set up a perimeter and searched the area for more than three hours without locating the suspects. However, police said the suspects were able to escape the wooded area before a solid perimeter could be established. Anyone with any information on her location is urged to contact the Lewisville Police Department or the agency in the jurisdiction she may be found. Anyone with information on this second person, or who has additional information about this murder is urged to contact the Lewisville Police Department. Source: starlocalmedia.com
