Mandeville bicyclist killed Sunday is identified by police - NOLA.com
The woman killed while crossing U. S. 190 in Mandeville Sunday has been identified. Police say she was Anita Louise Froeba, 60, of Colbert Street, Mandeville. Froeba was riding her bicycle near her home Sunday afternoon when she was struck by a car, police said. The accident happened around 12:30 p. m. A 2005 Nissan Altima, driven by Laura Delatte, 52, of Mandeville, was traveling west on U. S. 190, police said. Froeba was heading south on Colbert Street when she attempted to cross the busy highway. Police said Froeba pulled out in front of Delatte's car and the bicycle was hit, ejected Froeban and sending her flying several feet. Source: www.nola.com
