Wood County Sheriff's Report - KMOO

Deputy Donivan South was dispatched to a residence on CR 2724 in reference to a report that a woman had been bitten by a feral cat. South spoke with the victim who stated she feeds a few feral cats in the area and was bitten in the wrist area by a young adult female cat. Deputy Dustin Moffett was dispatched to CR 1971 in reference to possible fraud. Moffett spoke with a woman who owns rental cabins at the location. The woman advised that her daughter had found a box outside one of the rental units. Moffett also spoke with the owner of one of the altered checks and learned the man had written the check to pay his truck payment and had placed it in his mailbox. Deputy Dustin Moffett was dispatched to a residence on CR 4490 in reference to a dog bite. The victim stated he was bitten on the leg by a small dog while running down the road. The man also advised the dog is owned by his friend on FM 2455. Both the victim and Deputy Moffett relocated to the friend’s house where the victim identified two puppies as being responsible for the bite. Deputy Jeremy Ragsdale was dispatched to an address at Holiday Villages in reference to a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, Ragsdale observed a small Nissan passenger car fully engulfed in flames.
