The upcoming 2012 version of the Altima is widely regarded as the one to look out for, it’s said to have an in-house developed Nissan hybrid drive-train rather than the Toyota derived drive-train in the 2007 and 2011 models. Word has it that the 2012 hybrid Altima will be for sale in all 50 states from the get-go and will represent a true Nissan push into the hybrid market, a push it was reportedly less keen to make whilst it was still using Toyota parts and technology.
