Driver was 'like a pingpong ball going down street,' neighbor says - Lincoln Journal Star

Half of a Lincoln neighborhood was awakened Wednesday night when witnesses say a driver sideswiped eight parked cars, crashed through a fence and hit a ninth car before breaking down. Benjamin James was smoking a cigarette outside his home just west of 23rd and Dudley streets when he heard the commotion about 11 p. m. . "It was kind of like a pingpong ball going down the street," he said Thursday. Lincoln police say Titchiang M. Thor, 21, was driving drunk when she tore through the area in her 2004 Nissan Quest, bouncing off three cars parked on both sides of Dudley before jumping a curb. Then, they said, the minivan continued west toward 23rd Street and smashed through a wooden fence before heading north and hitting six more cars on both sides of the street. Yuson Nix, whose parked car was totaled, said she thought the noises she heard as she watched TV were gunshots. Officers found a clear plastic cup full of an unknown liquid that smelled like alcohol in the minivan, Officer Katie Flood said Thursday. Source: journalstar.com
