Woman Arrested After DUI Crashes in Rancho Mirage - Patch.com

A 31-year-old San Jacinto woman was behind bars on drunken driving charges Thursday after allegedly hitting two moving cars and trying to drive away. Teresa Marie Hunter was being held on $50,000 bail at the Riverside County jail in Indio, suspected of hit and run causing injury and drunken driving resulting in injury, jail records show. Deputies responded about 2:30 p. m. Wednesday to a report of an injury hit-and-run crash at Bob Hope Drive, just north of Country Club Drive, sheriff’s Sgt. An investigation determined that Hunter was driving a dark blue 2009 Ford Focus southbound on Bob Hope Drive when she allegedly rear-ended a black 2014 Ford Mustang near the intersection with Dinah Shore Drive, the sergeant said. The Focus continued south on Bob Hope Drive and, moments later, crashed into a gray 2014 Nissan Versa, just north of Country Club Drive. An unspecified number of occupants in the Versa suffered minor injuries, and were treated and released at a local hospital, Wright said. Source: patch.com
