Orangeburg Nissan dealership under new ownership - The Times and Democrat

Orangeburg Nissan is under new ownership. Terry Holmes, who owns auto dealerships in South Carolina and in Georgia, purchased the Nissan dealership in early August from Deryel Cumbie and business partner Scott Kirkpatrick of Carolina Auto Group. Cumbie and Kirkpatrick purchased the Nissan dealership as well as the adjacent Orangeburg Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep in January 2012. Cumbie and Kirkpartrick will maintain ownership of the Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership. The ownership change did not impact the number of employees or product line at the Nissan dealership. The company will become Nissan of Orangeburg. The Nissan dealership just built a 16,000-square-foot facility on about 6 acres next to its current St. Matthews Road location. In addition to the 6 acres, the dealership will also have an additional 6 acres for possible expansion. He currently owns the Mitsubishi dealership in Myrtle Beach and Island Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram in Pawley's Island, as well as dealerships in Georgia. Kirkpatrick said business will continue as usual at the Chrysler dealership. Kirkpatrick said Chrsyler-Dodge-Jeep does plan to carry a greater inventory of pre-owned vehicles. Source: thetandd.com
