Two young men have been killed after their Porsche Cayenne slammed into a lamp post in a late-night smash. Emergency crews arrived just before 11. 30pm last night, and four men were taken to hospital, reports the Birmingham Mail. Small Heath Highway was closed in both directions for several hours while an investigation into what happened was carried out. Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the West Midlands Police Collision Investigation Unit said: “Although this tragic collision happened late in the evening we know there would have been other vehicles on the road at the time. West Midlands Ambulance Service sent three ambulances, a paramedic area support officer and a trauma doctor to the scene. A spokesman said: “Ambulance staff arrived to find four patients in total, two of whom were men who had been ejected from their vehicle. “Bystanders were already carrying out CPR on one of the men prior to our arrival. Ambulance crews then began administering advanced life support but it became apparent nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene. Source: www.mirror.co.uk
