These are the 4th revision of the original Perry951 LED Reflectors for late dashboards in the Porsche 944, all years of 968, and early dashboards for the 928. These are custom designed drop in replacements lensed with 3500K Cree LED's (white/yellow white) for that factory look. The output is about 90 LUX, or about 3 times the amount of light of the factory light reflectors when new. They can dim 20% with the factory dimmer.
I'm Perry951 - a well known member of Rennlist for nearly 20 years. I first designed this reflector type in 2002 and have sent well over 100 sets to forum members over the years. A considerable amount of time and testing has gone into designing the lighting elements so they broadcast the light evenly across the cluster face without shadows or bright spots. All of my designs are based on a buss bar system with each resistor and led fed it's own dedicated power. This means even in the event of a resistor or lamp failing, the remainder stay lit. Everyone agrees this revision matches the color and look that the factory should have. This 4th revision uses a custom resin that is very durable without being brittle and fits the factory cluster exactly as the originals - they snap right in. There are other imitations sets available that cost less; I've purchased and tested them, but they are not even close to the quality, brightness, or fitness of these units. Most of them are wired in series meaning they will fail completely if any LED or resistor fails.
