I purchased a $1,000 (new) Remanufactured Lambda Control Unit so that my 911 Turbo would pass emission test. My Porsche shop bought this control unit, installed it, ran it through the Colorado emission test!

Took it back off and put in a bag and installed the original unit in the car!! Used only once and put back in storage.
This control unit was used for 1 hour and 20 miles+/- and has been sitting on a shelf in my house for 2-3 years.
Used on the 3.3L turbo. I believe the same from 1986-1992 911 Turbo. Check the part number for yourself.

You can do an easy search and see that the new ones run for around $1,200.
