A proper good time in Bristol at British Motorcar Festival - The Providence Journal

"The Bristol Hidden Highway Hundred Rally" was the kickoff for the inaugural British Motorcar Festival, a four-day celebration running through June 14. Friday saw receptions and events for the show car owners. The public could join in on Friday night's festivities, billed as a street party, which included live music at Independence Park in downtown Bristol. Other attractions Saturday include a car corral, a British marketplace with cars for sale, ladies' hat and British attire competitions, and a display of British racing cars. Likewise, John Biagioni, of Foster, said he was looking forward to "everything, the camaraderie. " He was driving his late wife Deb's Healey Blue 1960 Austin-Healey 3000, with his cousin Ron Nawrocki navigating. " Bruce Kogen, of Bristol, said he was helping out at the show and looking forward to the party in Independence Park. He and his wife, Jaime, were driving a British Racing Green 1980 MGB that they have owned since 1984. "It's a summer car," he said of the auto with 60,000 miles on it.
