Johnny Hallyday Buys Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe, Still Rocking It - autoevolution

In most of the English speaking countries people rather call him “the biggest rock star you’ve never heard of”, but at 71 Johnny Hallyday remains an icon inside the Francophone world. Even though the French singer said he’ll retire back in 2009, he has been touring ever since. But keeping the celebrity lifestyle also involves driving the cool wheels, so the rocker is now swinging Rolls-Royce’s huge convertible. The “French Elvis” some call him, others recall him as the ex husband of the popular Bulgarian-French singer Sylvie Vartan since the two were considered a “golden couple” for 20 years. Photogs captured him driving away in a blue Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe and it would seem it’s a new acquisition. Not that we’re not fond of the big luxury convertible, but for some reason we thought French drivers are rather about the small and chic sportscars than the rapper-type of wheels.
