The twin automakers' actions add more than 6. 5 million vehicles to the recalls that already encompassed millions of vehicles from multiple automakers in the U. S. -- and around the world. The recalls are in addition to the more than 17 million vehicles subject to earlier recalls. In an email to reporters, Toyota said the recall involves three distinct actions in the U. S. One is a new recall. In the next action, Toyota is expanding an April, 2013, recall to add 177,000 Tundra pickups from the 2003 and 2004 model years and 2004. Source: www.13wmaz.com
