COSTA MESA – A man was taken to a hospital after crashing his vehicle through a wall and into a home in Costa Mesa on Monday, police said. Around 7:20 p. m. , a Toyota Tundra SUV hit a wall outside a two-story home in the 1500 block of Amberleaf and Mesa Verde Drive, said Capt. Chris Coates of the Costa Mesa Fire Department. The vehicle went through the wall and backyard, before crashing two feet into an unoccupied bedroom. People were in other parts of the home at the time of the crash, Coates said. The SUV was towed from the property, and the part of the home that suffered damage was boarded up with lumber. User Agreement Comments are encouraged, but you must follow our User Agreement.
