Toyota introduced their line of factory-built TRD (Toyota Racing Development) off-road performance vehicles this year that include the 2015 Tundra 4x4 Double Cab and CrewMax models. Several months ago, we had a week with the CrewMax version of the Tundra TRD Pro – that time in Super White which concealed (just a little) the aggressive capability included in a Tundra ordered with the TRD package. All of the special factory order TRD Pro vehicles come standard with TRD Bilstein shocks with remote reservoirs both front and rear to provide capacity for increased suspension travel. A special grille design boldly spells out the word “TOYOTA” (reminiscent of earlier Toyota models) while a unique aluminum front skid plate has the TRD logo boldly stamped on it.
