RARE 1990 Toyota SR5 Restoration / Upgrade with a Solid Axle Front using highest quality Japanese and USA made components. Considered by many to be one of the best Toyota Trucks ever built. Quoted more than $33,000 to replicate including truck and all of its upgrades.

This spent most of its life as a California Truck originally from Japan. This Toyota SAS Pre Tacoma Build is a 2 year ground up, hand built restoration which includes a powerful low mileage 24 Valve (V6) 3.4L (5VZ-FE) Tundra Motor conversion with full HY-Steer solid front axle upgrade providing superior strength, wheel travel, and all off-road capability that the solid axle swap brings. The straight front axle allows tires to stay in contact with the ground much better because of the increased wheel travel, making the vehicle much more stable. Additionally, to put the power to the ground is a rebuilt five-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case and locking OEM rear differential that came on it from Japan.

The solid axle buildout enables great wheel travel and high-speed roading and desert pre-running; as your suspension compresses the differential ground clearance increases.
