BURLINGTON, N. C. — An Alamance County man is accused of leading police on a chase, causing a crash with two other vehicles and then fleeing on foot. Ethan Jeffery Potts, 18, of Graham, faces charges of felony speeding to elude, felony hit and run, DWI, driving with a revoked license and a vehicle lighting violation. Authorities said Burlington police tried pulling the suspect over shortly before 8 p. m. Saturday on Harden Street for not having tail lights lit. Police said he was driving a 2011 Suzuki Grand Vitara SUV. Minutes after losing sight of the suspect, officers came across a three-vehicle crash on Anthony Street at Webb Avenue, according to police. Police said the suspect was speeding and ran a red light on Anthony Street and Webb Avenue. The other vehicles involved in the crash were a 2014 Toyota Tacoma truck driven by a 31-year-old Graham man and a 2001 Nissan Altima driven by a 38-year-old Burlington woman. About $18,000 worth of damage was reported to the truck and the car was said to be a total loss, according to police. Source: myfox8.com
