2015 GMC Yukon: Lineup gets improvements and innovations - Chron.com
Within the Yukon portfolio is the flagship 2015 Yukon Denali model, a "gem trim" that originated in 1999. The new Yukons have been redesigned inside and out, with greater capability, refinement and performance. Yukon and its longer-wheelbased sibling, Yukon XL, share design, structural and powertrain f within the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban. The 2015 Yukon starts at $47,740 (plus $1,995 destination and delivery charge) for 2WD and $50,740 for 4WD. The trims are SLE, SLT and Denali. Emboldened with new design elements, Yukon also updates engine and communication technologies, plus safety and security. A long list of standard features is onboard all models and a greater number on the uplevel trim and Denalis that get an exclusive list of upscale materials and amenities, plus an exclusive, bigger engine. Standard on Yukons is GM's EcoTec 3 5. 3-liter engine that gets 11 percent more power (355 hp) and 14 percent more torque (383 lb. -ft. of torque). Yukon Denali's exclusive 6. 2-liter V8 is the most powerful in class, with 420 hp/460 lb. -ft. of torque. Denalis are rated at 15 mpg city/21 highway for 2WD and 14/21 for 4WDs. New and enhanced highlights that are standard or available, depending on the trim are: fold-flat second- and third-row seats giving greater cargo capability and convenience, with a power-folding feature.
