STOCKTON —. The search is on for the person who hit and killed a 75-year-old man in Stockton early Saturday morning while he was riding his electric wheelchair. Jesse Lopez said he always saw the man, identified by neighbors as Curtis Pringle, going around the neighborhood and was not always practicing safety when on the streets. According to Stockon CHP, the elderly man was riding his wheelchair just before 5 a. m. Saturday on West Washington Street in Stockton when he was hit by a dark colored 2001 to 2004 Toyota Tacoma. “There’s people that just drive their cars too fast through here, the lighting is not good, somebody hit him and didn’t really see him. The Stockton CHP is following up on its own theories on the situation, but a suspect hasn’t been located. The car should have a broken right headlight and damage to the front fender and bumper.
