Next Generation Toyota Tacoma Coming at 2015 Detroit Auto Show - autoevolution

Despite it’s age, the Toyota Tacoma small pickup truck still manages to dominate sales in the segment. According to an Automotive News report , Toyota plans to unveil the next generation Tacoma at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show in January, hoping to bring it into dealerships the same year. The new pickup is expected to be redesigned both inside and out, also getting mechanically improved with a new engine, although it’s hard to say what that updated unit will be. Currently, the Tacoma is offered in two body styles (Double or Access... Not much of a market, since the Tacoma sold over 140,000 in the first 11 months, accounting for 66% of total mid-size pickup sales, but that newly-arrived Chevy comes in close, so Toyota would better hurry with a new model. This is what pisses me off about Toyota--they won't do much to improve on what's already working great and selling well--like the 10 year old Tacoma, which is a fantastic truck for it's intended use.
