Now, one of the cars from the late Mr. McQueen’s expansive collection is up for grabs on eBay , as discovered by the folks at Motor Authority : a 1952 Chevrolet one-ton pickup with a custom camper on the back. We can’t necessarily endorse the 1952 Chevrolet nor its backstory as absolutely authentic, but the seller does provide proof like a Certificate of Authenticity and original California Title, made out to one Steven T. McQueen. The seller also offers that the Chevrolet one-ton pickup can be seen in a photograph from the book Steve McQueen: The Final Chapter by Grady Ragsdale Jr. The custom removable camper, meanwhile, was fabricated by Harold Van Hoosen, and McQueen... The truck, incidentally, was also the vehicle used to transport Mr. McQueen to the airport for a surgical procedure on November 3 , 1980, making it the last of his own cars in which the actor would ever ride. At the time of this writing, the late Steve McQueen’s 1952 Chevrolet one-ton with custom camper has a highest bid of $66,767, with 5 days left on the auction.
