86-88 TOYOTA PICKUP XTRA CAB 22RET 22RTE 22RE TURBO M/T ECU ECM OEM. This ECU came from my personal 86 SR5 Turbo 4x4 truck, I’m going with a more aggressive engine setup for off road use and will be using a stand alone engine management system so I don’t need this anymore. This ECU is in Perfect working condition and was able to tolerate 12psi boost pressures with a 5mge airflow meter conversion, larger injectors, big mouth throttle body, mild turbo cam, ported cyl head and free flowing 3inch exhaust. Never had the chance to dyno it but had estimates of 175+ hp. It was able to be driven daily with no drive ability issues and never had a check engine light come on. This is not some salvage yard find but a real world tested ECU from my truck. The odometer reads 142,000 miles currently so not a whole lot of miles. It is a virgin untouched factory sealed unit and not a refurbished or repaired one. Some minor scrapes and scuffs from age and use but in near flawless condition for something 30+ years old. i was considering keeping it in case i needed to smog the truck but plans have changed and it will wind up being an off road use only truck. I’m the second owner of the truck and have the original window sticker from when it was new on the dealers lot. A California truck sold in Torrance. If your considering a Turbo conversion on your 22RE you will Need this computer! Also while your shopping around for a Turbo Computer,Keep in mind Toyota made 3 difference ones! They all have the same beginning part #’s except for the last two numbers. You want the one ending in 50! the ones ending in 30 and 80 were for the Turbo Automatic equipped Trucks and 4Runners and they have a less aggressive fuel and timing curve,a couple of the pin outs on the connector plug are in different locations plus depending on the manufacture Year they controlled smaller size cc injectors, so you will have tuning issues with them. The stock22RE Computer will not tolerate any type of boost...
