But for Toyota, the show must go on, especially when the Hilux Vigo pickup — the country’s best-selling vehicle — has been around for too long. So it isn’t surprising to see how Toyota is making loud noises with its all-new Hilux Revo, judging from the lavish world premiere it staged in May followed by a series of promotions here and there. Although the Revo has yet to be seen in large numbers on Thai roads, Toyota insists that its expectations are on track with back orders now in place, especially for the Double Cab model which we first drove last month. Impressions of the four-door Revo back then included a controversial exterior appearance but new-found levels of interior design and usability, upgraded diesel engines and transmissions with improved tractability and fuel economy, a softer chassis... Now it’s time to get behind the wheel of the Smart Cab, Toyota’s parlance for a two-door pickup with extra cabin space behind the front seats that can be accessed via openable, forward-facing rear panels. Which immediately brings us to the first improvement of the new Smart Cab when compared with the previous model. Source: www.bangkokpost.com
