Model will drive tricked-out Ferrari in Gumball 3000 - Chron.com

This year's 100 drivers will include Houston native Michael Morrow, a former male model who will be driving a custom Ferrari and wearing a Hugo Boss tuxedo with 700,000 embroidery stitches to match the car. The rally has become one of the most infamous and spectacular events in the world bringing together the worlds of music, film, fashion, entertainment, sport and business, for a six-day, 3,000 mile road trip. An international road rally that was started in 1999 by British entrepreneur Maximilian Cooper, the six-day marathon has hopped around the world for its start-to-finish routes. When this year's Gumball gets under way May 23 in Stockholm, Sweden, the drivers will include Houston native Michael Morrow, a former male model, who has worn designs by Versace, Guess and Calvin Klein, among others. Morrow said he signed with the Page Parkes Center of Modeling and Acting in 1985 at age 15 and worked as a model until 2000, under different agents in different cities, including Miami, Paris, Milan and Hamburg. Making the tux took three months, including two for the embroidery done at Pam's Prints in Houston, whose clients include the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, he said. Source: www.chron.com
