Teen Dies in Major Rollover Crash in Midland - NewsWest9.com

A 17-year-old Midland teen is dead following an accident in Midland on Sunday night. Midland Police were called to the accident around 6:25 p. m. When they arrived they found a 2008 blue Nissan Titan that had rolled-over into the center median of Highway 191. Inside of that truck were three 17-year-olds. One of the officers on scene was, Aaron Smith of the Midland Police Department, he said, "Initial responding units found a one vehicle accident, there were three total persons inside the vehicle, two were transported to the hospital, one was... Authorities say the likely cause of the accident were the road conditions at the time of the crash. Police say a marked patrol unit with all of its flashing lights, being used as a barricade, was struck by another vehicle. "After some amount of time of being set there, a driver who was not paying enough attention managed to run in and completely total that vehicle," said Smith.
