Robert Batamye, fondly known as ‘Muna’ by his clients, has not only cut a niche as a specialised Nissan mechanic, but is also an ardent fan and owner of Nissan vehicles. After driving the Nissan Hardbody J86 for six years, Batamye authoritatively dismisses the general perception that Nissans are expensive cars to run. “You only need to buy genuine spare parts and carry out the servicing at the right time,” he says, arguing that though the parts may be expensive, in the long run it becomes cheaper because they are durable and thus rarely fail.
