Free Annual Cook Out Is July 30 - Greeneville Sun

Rural Resources and Greeneville First Presbyterian Church will host their free annual "Local Food Cook Out" on July 30. The event begins at 5:30 p. m. at the local non-profit organization's farm at 2870 Holly Creek Road. A news release from Rural Resources says 2015 marks the fourth year for the event. At the Rural Resources Farm, local beef burgers and veggie burgers will be served with sides and fixings, much of which has been grown on the farm. For the last three years, Pastor Dr. Dan Donaldson and a team of volunteers from First Presbyterian Church have done the grilling. "Here on the farm, this is one of the most rewarding events of the year," said Sally Causey, Rural Resources' executive director. Event organizers are also asking for donations of homemade baked beans or homemade desserts. You're entitled to view 12 free articles every 30 days.
