The Mitsubishi Red Peak Challenge is back, and the star in the sequel is the new Mitsubishi Triton pick-up truck. Set up by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) last year to show off the climbing ability of its 4X4 vehicles, the Red Peak Challenge revolves around a lorry which brings a mobile obstacle course around the country. The 2:39 video starts with the new Triton being launched from the Red Peak lorry , going on to negotiate slaloms and jumps, before getting into 4WD mode for gravel and water crossings. The video portrays the Triton as an all-conditions athlete, dramatically and successfully. Launched here in May , the new Triton is is available in five variants – Triton VGT Adventure (AT only), Triton VGT AT, Triton VGT MT, Triton MT and Triton Quest (4X2 MT only) – priced from RM67,604 to RM108,274.
