THARPTOWN - Township police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that struck guardrail along Route 61 at the Brewery Curve at 10:18 a. m. Saturday. Police said the operator was traveling south when his or her vehicle exited the road and hit guardrail before fleeing. The driver is requested to call Coal Township police at 570-644-0333. Jacker caught. MANHEIM - A 22-year-old Mifflinburg man accused in a car-jacking at a gas station near Milton was apprehended in Manheim Borough, Lancaster County. State police at Milton said Clayton pulled Corrinne Rank, 60, of Milton, from inside the sport-utility vehicle about 8:20 p. m. Sunday. He jumped into the vehicle and drove off from the Sunoco Gas Station and fled west on Crossroads Drive (Route 1004). Rank suffered a minor injury. Source: newsitem.com
