Two juveniles and one adult were arrested after a sergeant saw them drive by the police department in a stolen vehicle. On July 5 at 10:47 p. m. , an APD officer was sent to the Toot'n Totum at 1801 S. Grand on a stolen vehicle report. As he returned, he noticed his black 2006 Lincoln Mark LT pickup driving away. On July 7 at approximately 9 a. m. , the PACE unit supervisor was leaving the building when he saw a black pickup traveling westbound in front of the police department. The sergeant turned his unmarked police car around and began to catch up to the vehicle at 3rd and Adams, and was able to confirm the vehicle was the same one that was stolen Sunday night. He was able to see that there were three people in the vehicle. The pickup made several quick, evasive turns and the officer lost sight of the stolen vehicle. Additional officers were sent to the area and located the stolen vehicle in the 400 block of S. Bryan, but the pickup wasn't occupied at the time. Responding officers located three people - two juveniles and one adult - in the general area that attempted to run from officers, but were eventually captured. Officers found a key to the Lincoln in the pocket of one of the juveniles. The 14-year-old and 16-year-old were placed in the detention center for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
