1953 Willys (Overland) 1 Ton 4WD Jeep Pickup Truck - Chevy Small Block V8 Engine

California Truck since New with California Black Truck Plates

This nice original looking 1953 Willys 1 Ton 4WD Jeep Pickup has been in California since it was new in 1953 according to the California Title Documents that come with the truck. The truck still retains the early 1960’s California Old School Commercial “Black Plates”.

The engine on this Jeep truck has been upgraded to a more potent Chevrolet Small Block V8 with High Performance Chevy Heads, Finned Aluminum Valve Covers, Rochester Carburetor (freshly rebuilt), chrome air cleaner and Dual Exhaust with Chrome Tips.

This 4WD Pickup is still equipped with a 3-Speed Manual Transmission mated with a High / Low Transfer Case that gives a total of six forward speeds & two in reverse. The front hubs were upgraded to the Cutlas Bulldog Locking Hubs.

This vintage Jeep Truck looks beautiful with recent paint, upgraded interior and carpet. From the listing pictures, you will also see that the truck’s underside and chassis are in fantastic condition as to be expected from a true Southern California vehicle.

This Willys 1 Ton Truck runs/drives well plus all exterior lights including the turn signals and original gauges (Speedometer, Fuel, Amp & Temperature) are working. An auxiliary Oil Pressure Gauge was added to the left underside of the dash near the steering wheel.
