One injured in accident on Route 45 - Chicago Daily Herald
Lake County Sheriff's Detective Chris Covelli said a Chevy Cobalt driven by Jonathon M. Bonadona, 23, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, was heading north on Route 45 about 6:30 a. m. when it tried to pass a pickup truck. Bonadona entered the southbound lane to pass the truck but did not leave enough time to return to his original lane before hitting a car traveling south on Route 45, Covelli said. Bonadona drove onto the southbound shoulder to avoid a head-on collision but hit a curb, spun out and then hit a Lincoln that was heading south, Covelli said. Route 45 was closed from Edwards Road to Route 173 for about an hour while officials cleaned up and investigated the crash, he said. Source: www.dailyherald.com
