First time enthusiast at Vinnie's Mud Bog. The combined roar of souped-up engines and a vast crowd was almost deafening at times July 17-19 as Vinnie’s Mud Bog entered its fourth year. The event is all about the mud — both in slinging it and wearing it as people tempted the mud bogs in an assortment of vehicles and ATVs. “It’s pretty disgusting, actually,” laughed Alyssa Jackson of Bloomington, Minnesota, as she sat on the back of a four-wheeler driven by Brandon Lotzer. Crowds of thousands came to Vinnie’s Mud Bog as many camped overnight with everything from simple tents to large and expensive recreational vehicles. The camping area was packed with trucks, four-wheelers, lawn chairs, camp stoves and so many people they were bursting from the seams. It’s an amazing sight to come across the hill leading up to the Mike Skroch pasture as hundreds of vehicles and campers sat bumper to bumper to participate in this three-day event. But it didn’t stop there as others from Washington, North Carolina and more attended this popular summer event.
