The vehicle that will run in the Baja 1000 will be powered by a 3. 5 liter twin-turbo V-6. And the racer will compete in an unlimited class. That will resemble the upcoming 2017 Honda Ridgeline pickup. This announcement marks Honda’s return to Baja after a three year absence. Back in 2012, Honda fielded the HPD Desert Pilot. The HPD Desert Pilot had taken first in its class in the 2012 Baja 500. But its predecessor, the CR-R Ridgeline enjoyed two Baja 1000 wins. So the V-6 that has been used in the new Baja racer.
