COVENTRY: On July 12, Summit County sheriff’s deputies investigated the theft of fishing poles and equipment from a boat docked at a location on Lake Beach Boulevard. An Akron man stopped for lane violations at Manchester and Cormany roads July 12 was arrested for possession of drugs and released with a court summons after deputies found marijuana in the vehicle. Deputies responded to a vehicle crash on Interstate 77 July 12 and arrested a passenger in one of the vehicles after he became disruptive and refused to comply with repeated commands. An employee of a Manchester Road restaurant reported July 13 the rear and side windows of his vehicle, which was parked outside the business, were broken while he worked. A Barberton man located at a State Street address July 14 was arrested on a warrant and taken to the Summit County Jail. Deputies investigated the theft of a black 2001 GMC Sonoma from the driveway of a Wynne Drive residence July 14. The vehicle was reportedly unlocked and the key was in the ignition. On July 14, deputies investigated the burglary of a Wigeon Lane residence where a man reported someone ripped a screen from a window, entered and stole money.
