Our Ten Days of Fun calendar is jam-packed with fun things to do around Sonoma County. Upcoming events include this weekend's Monster Truck rally, the Matsuri Japanese Arts Festival, the Just Between Friends Consignment Sale, and the 4-H Chickenque. Monster Trucks: If the smell of gasoline and the sound of metal on metal is your thing, then rev your engines for this weekend's Monster Truck Spring Nationals in the Chris Beck Arena at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. On Friday and Saturday, trucks will be lining up for vehicle jumping, truck racing, car crushing fun. The event will also include Free Style Moto X on Friday and the Quad Racing-Invitational on Saturday. Held in the Grace Pavilion at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, this weekend's sale will include massive deals on new to gently-used toys, clothing for kids and maternity, books, furniture, mommy supplies and more. Admission is $2 Thursday and Friday, and free on Saturday and Sunday. Friday, May 1. First Friday Art Walk: Visit the galleries of the SOFA Arts District in Santa Rosa to see the artwork of more than 40 artists. The free event will include live entertainment and refreshments at select galleries, as well as a tour of Art Alley to see the new Guernica mural painted by the fabulously talented ArtStart students.
